How it works
- Open a supported video playback page that you are authorized to access and record.
- Choose a recording range, playback speed, and—if desired—an output folder.
- Start the task and monitor local progress from the extension popup.
Permission and copyright boundaries
The extension is limited to its supported playback origin and uses browser permissions only for recording, local file export, recovery, notifications, supported-tab management, and a bounded trusted click when normal playback cannot start. Unrelated tab metadata is not stored or transmitted.
Record only content you own or have explicit permission to record. Do not use Episode Recorder to bypass access controls, copy content without authorization, or distribute, share, or sell recorded files.
